I admittedly am not following this particular rage against the ACA but I thought that anyone under 26 years old was covered by their parents' insurance. Doesn't that make almost everyone under that 26 threshold rather uninteresting w.r.t. whether or not they're visiting the ACA website?

Serious question, BTW.

Some of their parents don't have health insurance either, sullyguy, or adding them is cost prohibitive to the parents. They can't be added to the parent's policy for free, you know.

When did the thread switch to the GOP and healthcare reform?

Who woulda thunk that underemployed young adults at low paying jobs, many with a college degree they can't use hitched to an average of $29,000 in student loan debt would spurn ANOTHER MONTHLY PAYMENT?

LOL

No. No one anywhere, for any reason, could have figured that one out!

Just think back when you were 18 and full of spunk... What happened when someone told you, not ask you, to do something.

I thought about that and then came to the anchor baby syndrome....
Do you realize just how many of those unique people exist, under 26 years of age?
When the blinders are on and tunnel vision sets in on the goal, there are those things you never see.

The topic is how young people are spurning paying premiums for ACA healthcare. No one mentioned the GOP but you. There is an apparent hypocrisy with young voters who supported the healthcare policies of Obama but aren't willing to help fund them with their own money was a point of discussion.

A perfect description of both sides of the aisle these days.

Not quite. Very few young people vote. Of those who do, a majority that do tend to vote for whoever promises to play sugar daddy to them.

When it comes to real life, most simply will not buy health insurance, and even more so, now that the premiums shot up.
