Is productivity only measured by how much legislation is passed, no matter how destructive that legislation? Or can productivity also be measured by how much dangerous or destructive legislation, proposed by those who wish to "fundamentally transform" America, is blocked?

I suggest that the responsibility of our Representatives is to protect and uphold the Constitution of the United States, above all else. And further, that any legislation that is outside of Constitutional limits, that further constricts freedom and liberty, or that further increases our indebtedness, places undue burdens on the citizens of this country, or limits the ability of the citizens in their pursuit of happiness, or their ability to improve their standard of living, must and should be blocked.

We do not send people to Washington simply to "pass laws." And, being simply a 'rubber stamp' for everything a President my desire is a recipe for totalitarianism, which is the direction in which we are headed.

All I am doing is asking you to back up your assertion, "100's of bills have come out of the house, only to be tabled by dirty harry reid and the democrats," with facts.

Give us some examples of "dangerous legislation" that the noble House has blocked. I do remember them blocking Obama's jobs bill, that would add 1,000,000 workers. Why would that be? Oh, the GOP wanted to keep unemployment high enough to ensure that the president would, under normal circumstances, lose his reelection bid in 2012.

Right on! The OP is a diehard socialist (Progressive), who would be much happier living in the former Soveit Union, I'm sure. As far as I'm concerned, she can leave anytime. What's holding her here?

Your graph fails to indicate what it is that displeases people. It does not say that their lack of confidence is because a liberal agenda is not being advanced. Indeed, in the last two election cycles, Republicans have maintained their majority in the House. It is the House which is supposed to represent the People.

The lack of confidence could just as easily be because of the fact that the House Democrats refuse to work with the Republicans and are bent on advancing their Progressive agenda, which most people disagree with (such as ObamaCare). That certainly has me disgusted. I fully support what the Republicans have been doing to try to stop ObamaCare and put the brakes on spending and taxation.
