Fascist America? i think its more naive America who thinks their addiction to technology wouldnt come back to bite them in the butt.
One shouldn't be addicted to anything. However, tech is a tool, many different kinds. Tech is not the issue, but rather the model that encourages the mentality that is prevailing and the use of technology.

Shrug. Most likely it will be rolled into your insurance. If it wasn't then the cost would be rolled up into the purchase of the self driving hardware and software.

All told on the average we spend 100 hours a year commuting to and from work. I want that time back.

Why do you guys have to bring the TEA Party into absolutely everything?

Seriously - are you guys, and especially you, borrego, so completely warped that EVERYTHING is somehow connected to the TEA Party?

I think you should seek some professional help. Really. Your obsession is way past unhealthy.

I have no doubt the govt would get theirs. However, it should impact the liability model.

In what way-really?

When we drive now the liability model is on us for our driving performance. Does that mean then that if I have a self driving car there should be no liability for me if I exclusively use that? And instead I should say....pay Google a monthly payment to cover the liability? I mean I suppose that would work.

Well this is a complex subject, but you as the owner of the vehicle would probably still be held liable. You as an owner and you as a driver are different. Certainly the manufacturer of a self-driven vehicle could be held liable if the vehicle was driving itself.

No, they'll start ticketing for people walking while texting.

In all seriousness, they will likely just start charging taxes on soda and fast food places.

We were encroached on starting 50 years ago...

Just what are YOU doing to get your friends, your schoolmates, your friends at work to vote?

How many times have you written your congressman? your senators? the president?

I'll wager not a damned thing, just gripe, whine and chant your mantra:

OH POOR ME
