Obviously his point is that pie is delicious, especially pumpkin, and any time we have an issue we should just think about pie and that will make us feel better.
Hmm. Maybe we need a new "universal pie" law, to ensure that every American has access to pie. It wouldn't be fair if only those who could afford pie had access to pie. We can force everybody in the country to purchase a "pie of the month" plan, but the first $6,000 of pie they buy they have to pay for out of pocket. After that, they can have all the free pie they want, unless the stores are out of pie, in which case they'd have to be put on a waiting list for pie. Hopefully there won't be too many people that die while waiting for the pie they're entitled to.

That discriminates against those of us that prefer CAKE !!!
What reason is there to believe they'd pass savings on to anyone but themselves?
Because that's how business operates. The price of product is dictated by the expenses plus the largest amount you can add while remaining competitive. When a single company drops the cost instead of pocketing the money the rest have to follow suit.
I'm with you on this. I wouldn't mind ending the 'personhood' status, as long as it was coupled with removal of all forms of taxation on the business.
Our country was founded on the premise of "no taxation without representation," and it's bad enough that businesses are taxed without having a vote, but to remove their ability to express themselves to those who represent them in government without also removing their tax burden should be seen as unconstitutional.
You are kidding, right?
Who do you think employs those Washington lobbyists and what do you think their job is???
I'd say corporations have too much representation; far more than the average citizen.

That's SO 1950s!
We are in the 21st century now. It's kill or be killed. Eat or be eaten. Anyone who gives a fig for the common man instead of their investors is a crackpot socialist, right?

I was patiently waiting for your comment. You are absolutely correct. For someone to say that a corporation is a person is either benefiting monetarily off the backs of Americans, and I mean off their backs not their skills, or just mouthing what they hear. If a corporation is a person then half of Wall Street and some in the White House should be in jail.
