Except that Rebpublicans will not be winning a future election. Ever again. They're done. So... I'm not into futility. I don't do impotent rage very well. Have fun.

Seriously though, the right just has to have a decent candidate to have a chance. Only problem is...they refuse to select a moderate during their primaries, and the amount of hard right you have to do to win the primaries makes you almost unelectable.
...I am clearly voting Republican for the rest of my life, and support their entire platform.
Obviously.
Republican's haven't even remotely supported their own platform for some time. That's why both Paul's and other traditional conservatives are viewed as revolutionaries. They are only stating what the republican party platform already says. With few exceptions, my states Republican platform sounds like a Libertarian fund raiser. Too bad the neo-cons control most of it.

Really?
You might want to tell that to Mary Landrieu (D-LA), Mark Begich (D-AK), Mark Pryor (D-AR), Kay Hagan (D-NC) Jeff Berkley (D-OR), Al Franken (D-MN) and Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH). I'm betting all 7 and then some get kicked out of the Senate next year. They could use a hug from a koolaid drinker like you.

So do you think McCain and Romney were too far right? If so, the Republicans will never win another election. They were both nothing more than leftists with an R next to their names.

Well duh no.
There will however be a lot of swing voters who vote Republican to "punish" the Democrats just like there were who did the same to the Republicans over Bush, and the population as a whole will move a bit to the right in reaction, again the same as what occurred in the opposite direction after the disaster that was the Bush administration. Hyperbole aside, terrible (and on the flip side excellent) Presidents do matter - the Democrats are still collecting dividends politically from how good a job Clinton did.

Could be, but what happens in 2016 when you dont have a black President to kick around and a whole lot of the base is dead. Do you guys have a plan for dead people to vote?

Tell us exactly what (be specific, with examples) is "hard right"?
