Obama's promise to heal a polarized nation has proven to be as big a lie as his promise that you can keep your health insurance. America is now so divided and demoralized that there is no "Hope" to fix it.

Obama and Axelrod are brilliant when it comes to dividing the country using the politics of resentment. The bitterness and anger they've sparked has probably set back race relations 50 years.

Why don't you blame yourself for it. Only each individual can decide to tolerate others. Fail.

Isn't it interesting. He promised "hope and change," but what we got was lots of change and no hope.

Are you complaining or bragging?

The country is hopelessly divided because conservative republican, tea party types have done everything in their power to divide the country.
You especially should be extremely ecstatic, as based on your posts, dividing the country has been your overriding agenda ever since the president set foot in the oval office.
I can't begin to name how many threads have been on C-D where conservative republicans have considered any form of compromise as a mortal sin and a political impossibility.

Is this your new daily "Liar, Liar, Pants On Fire" thread?

The Europeans gave Obama the Nobel peace prize for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples. The Nobel Peace Prize for 2009 to President Barack Obama - Press Release

And Obama has fulfilled the dreams of many black and white Americans to live in a country where we could have a black president. Evidence shows that Obama has healed both America and the world.

But since Obama is black and he is against supply side tax cuts for the rich, US republicans are attacking him. I guess now we need a white man who gives tax cuts to the rich elected president (to heal the republicans.)

Who started the war? America, you say? I seem to recall we were attacked, right here on our soil, in a clear act of war.

Should there not have been a response, America would have been seen as weak; an easy target for further attacks. We did the right thing.

History will probably show that you are right about our responding to 9/11. But wouldn't that be Bush's incursion in Afghanistan and the destruction of the Taliban in the area?

My question to you is...........What exactly did Iraq have to do with responding to 9/11?
