The stupidity and bigotry of religion once again on display....It is incidents like this that are driving people away from religion in droves, and at least that part is a good thing.

Yet another liberal substituting the word "hatred" for disagreement.

You guys are so transparent and predictable.

OP, do you really think that the school should compromise its morals and Biblical worldview just because you are intolerant of religion and are bigoted towards anyone who doesn't think exactly as you do?

This is a private school, and the teacher was well aware of the policies when he was hired.

He broke the rules.

See ya.

In 1977, my Catholic grade school in Pittsburgh fired my favorite teacher because they found out she had been divorced 5 years earlier.

What? And miss all the drama and attention that they thrive on? How un-fabulous that would be!

Gay teacher fired after applying for marriage license | MSNBC

Yep, no proof there.
The school didn't care if he lived in sin. They drew the line when he violated the church tenet that a union is between man and woman.

That is so glaringly obvious a blind person could see it.

Yeah, it might be more accurate to say "zealously intolerant of, bigoted against and discriminatory towards" rather than "hate" if that makes you feel better.

So is that the only moral line the religious school has? Have they fired anyone because of adultery? Or any other sin they consider crossing the line?

Calling out religion's bigotry is not considered bigotry, it is just stating a fact.
