What that means is that your claim that "what businesses are making is not fundimentally solid" is ignorant bullsh*t.
Businesses in general are doing really well - especially the larger companies that are listed on the stock exchange. Profits are good and cash reserves are very large - and that has been the case for most of the last 5 years now.

I've never argued that their stocks aren't doing really well.

It's not just their STOCKS that are doing well - their PROFITS are healthy and their CASH RESERVES are at near-record levels.
Why SHOULDN'T their stocks do well under those conditions?
What is more "fundimentally solid" than healthy profits and deep cash reserves?
If that's not "fundimentally solid" then there is no such thing as "fundimentally solid".

In the broader market “multiple expansion is driving stock market performance to a far greater degree than earnings while earnings themselves are being driven to a remarkable extent by share buybacks,”
Sorry, it was fun but I can't take anything you say from here on out seriously. Bernanke failed in a historical manner.
I also quit discussions with people who refuse to answer my questions asked of them.
Let's meet in 10 years then rediscuss Bernanke's success.
What's your question?
