Federal authorities said Thursday they have arrested and charged a Texas man in connection with the “knockout game,” accusing him of a hate crime for targeting a black man for a vicious street attack.
Most knockout victims that have appeared in news reports have been white, but the Justice Department said in this instance the victim was a 79-year-old black man, and stepped in with federal charges.
Now I know why there has not been a rash of whites knocking out blacks because there is a double standard. When blacks do it has nothing to do with race but when whites do the same it is a hate crime. What a crock of s***.
It would seem that all of them would be considered hate crimes. Are hate crimes only based on race, religion, sexuality, etc??
Many people have been caught. Not too long ago a couple of black kids did the same thing to an old white man and the feds were asked if they were going to charge them with hate crimes and they said no.
The only other person charged was in November for attacking a Jewish man.
Not a surprise. I tend to stay away from racial threads on forums I am on simply because I get accused of racism if I post my true feelings. You can tell who the favored groups are in this country...attack white person no hate crime,attack black or jewish hate crime.
The 'hate crime' element is a double-standard that usurps 'blind' justice - the neutrality of the dispensing of justice.
No it's not. It's a tool that puts worse criminals in jail for longer periods of time.
