Too many criteria must be met before you can access something that should be considered a modern, developed and educated societal right. Your obsession over this "I pay my way so should you" chit is leaving you light years behind MOST of the developed nations in this regard but as another poster pointed out; you do have the ability to lay waste to the rest of the planet; a laudable accomplishment to be sure.

Priorities, it's all about those pesky priorities.

Oh; and one must not forget, we go home for our healthcare on a private plane with a doctor in attendance RATHER than access your exorbitant and error ridden healthcare.
Pretty interesting. I have a very good friend who lives in Red Deer, Alberta. She is a registered nurse there. And all she does is complain to me about how horrible the healthcare system is in Alberta. Now, Alberta isn't all of Canada, however with the things she tells me, I'll take our system over yours.

Do you realize how many Canadian's live in the US? How many are now US citizens? Go to the border states and look at a Walmart on the weekend. 70% of the cars are from Canada. Why? Because of the high prices to support your failed healthcare experiment.

My friend tells me about all the nurses she went to school with, over half, now live in the "States." Why? Because we pay them more money and the benefits are better.

And if you can go back on a private plane, why come here to begin with? What is so great about the US you would want to come here? All you seem to do is complain about it. But again, THOUSANDS of Canadians move here each and every year; must be something good about this place, eh?

I think it could have happened especially where there a low cost community clinics. In one town I lived in I cut my finger pretty bad with a sawzall. I went to the clinic which is partly subsidized with with property taxes. I saw a physicians assistant who was trained in the Army. I had stitches and was back home in 30 minutes. The bill was only about $150. On Saturday they offer free regular doctor appointments. In Tucson, Arizona we have the El Rio clinics which offers affordable care on a sliding income basis. You have to know where these places are though. Dont go to the emergency room of any of the hospitals without insurance or expect a big bill.

Most of those stats are from OECD, not some study from a random source that doesn't know anything about economics.

So you completely ignored the part of my post telling you why we come there; that's OK it's been your style; ignore the parts that explain away your query and instead, highlight out of context the parts that serve to debunk your flawed hypothesis, but for those who skipped the preceding .

I answered your question why we come there with the climate, cheap golf AND cheap property costs after your economy tanked being the biggie. I retired though so a completely different set of priorities exist for me. I then went on to explain we do not access your healthcare because our insurance providers fly our azzes out of there on a certified med-flight if we get ill. it's way cheaper than the alternative.

NOW; any further inane and pointless questions?
