Why would the owner mistreat an animal that he has to rely on for his living?

I find it funny to have a mayor that argues that a horse is being mistreated for pulling a carriage but it's O.K. to stop black men and frisk them simply because of the color of their skin.

I bet someone already commented this, I'm not going to read every post...

But the conditions in NYC are inhumane for people.

Mistreatment of the animals is not my focus. How a owner treats his animals is as individual as the owners.

Stop and frisk is no longer being employed by NYPD so I dont see how you conflate the two issues.

A federal judge ruled on Monday that the stop-and-frisk tactics of the New York Police Department violated the constitutional rights of minorities in the city, repudiating a major element in the Bloomberg administration’s crime-fighting legacy.

Horses are work animals. If they don't work they don't survive (in most cases).

Very few have the luxury of being "Put out to pasture".

Just a fact in the country.

Most police you see in NYC are on foot...you watch too much tv that incorrectly depicts NYPD.

What do you find funny? De Blasio campaigned against stop and frisk.
