I bet they heat up their food too. Probably with a microwave or a hot plate like a regular bunch of John D. Rockefellers! Don't tell me that they couldn't have spent that money on an organ for those girls to stand out on the corner and grind for bus tokens!

It's 2014. The microwave fad ended 30 years ago. I pretty much expect to see a Microwave in a shelter these days.

I think we should all live in homeless shelters. In that, we don't have to pay anymore rent.

My apologies if I misinterpreted your intent behind this thread.

I guess I'm getting cynical - seeing meanness around every corner on this board.

You know, that 150 year old legency technology which is absolutely every where and cost virtually nothing? The wing nuts are basically just looking for an excuse to show the world what a crap stain of a human being they are.

Bush did sign it (as it was attached to other legislation he wanted) but, no, it was democrats who pushed that legislation through Congress. BTW Republicans insist on calling them "Obama Phones" to this day even though the law went into effect before he was even President; you'll routinely hear the tards say this right on this very website. Oh, and the program costs the government virtually nothing, the phone companies freely agreed to it (they give cut price local calling to needy people but get new customers), and having phone access is THE major difficulty poor people have getting jobs so this eliminates that problem. Employers would try to call someone, not see a phone number, and just toss the resume out.

This results in more poor people working at a net cost of almost zero so it's a great program which passes the cost to benefit analysis test.

It was Reagan who started the program.
