It does not take a mathematic to do the numbers. But if those 55 million had been born and minus the 2% that may have been gay by averages and say half of those 53.9 million straights grew up and had two kids together, we would have another 53.9 million also half of which would have an average of 2 kids and another generation getting ready to do the same. Instead of being at 314 million people in the USA, we would be approaching somewhere over 475,000,000 (475 million) people in the US. Unemployment is already bad, pollution is bad, we are pushing our resources to their limit and how does it make sense to even bemoan those 55 million that were never human beings to begin with? We are not rabbits or cows breeding, we are far from ever going extinct with over 7 billion of us on the planet.

We cannot find homes for just the 100,000 foster children available for adoption TODAY, nor can we take care of the additional 400,000 children who are in the system but are not available for adoption. Who would take care of 55 million?

Not society's problem, at least as far as Conservatives are concerned. Once they have "saved" that cluster of cells, their responsibility to the child that will result is over. Let those children starve or die for lack of healthcare or live in the streets. Not their problem.

if all it equates to is a "malignant tumor" or a "diseased appendix", why do Democrat politicians claim pro-abortion women really struggle with the decision as to whether to have an abortion ?

Can't have it both ways !

"As many as 17 million children nationwide are struggling with what is known as food insecurity. To put it another way, one in four children in the country is living without consistent access to enough nutritious food to live a healthy life, according to the study, "Map the Meal Child Food Insecurity 2011."

Got to cut food stamps to those leeching kids, though, right?

I take it you've never been to a rural elementary school for breakfast after a long weekend or holiday break.

Maybe they reported that they were having a clump of cells or some "unviable tissue matter".

I'm ok with it. That many less people isn't a problem.
