I was watching CNN and minutes ago a so called "specialist" stated the nws was not bad since it means more family are back to work...!!!!

Even the host had a hard time believing it and stated, "well a least that is some positive news"!!!!

The specialist name is David Wessel! No clue who he is but CNN is paying him for this B.S.

Job numbers are actually up, so maybe you should turn on closed captioning or something....

There has not been a plus sign, since Pelosi took over the house leadership and Harry Reid took over the Senate, in Jan. of 2007
Look at the timeline, when things started to turn for the worse. Mid 2007

Well, the 113,000 jobs number derived from the establishment survey is not enough to keep up with population growth, so that is negative in a sense. On the other hand, the household survey data is actually quite good, indicating a drop in the UE rate for good reasons (but this has not been the norm).

That's fine, but then you also have to take into account the huge number of baby boomers dropping out of the workforce every month.

Regardless of how you interpret the numbers, or what you think of them, there's one thing I think we can all agree on. The so-called "experts" and the payroll companies who come out with their grand predictions every month are dead wrong too often. Who is getting paid to make these laughably bad predictions?

Actually, the poor economy is causing boomers to delay retirement. Retirees are not causing the participation rate decreases.

The poor economy is also causing people to hoard instead of spending.

It's amazing how this administration and it's liberal left arm will twist it all different ways trying to prop up this king. Obama's policies are not working and the sooner people give in to that the sooner the economy will get better.

Are you serious? You're joking right. You do know something else happened in 2007 right? Something that was lead by mostly conservative men on Wall Street. But yeah let's just say it was Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, you sound like Fox news (not a compliment).

There are many good points you can make about the Dems and their policies. You could have an honest discussion about which way the country should go and provide empirical evidence as to why you believe a certain thing. Instead you attempt to blatantly distort the facts to prove a point. C'mon, you can do better than that. In the words of Bobby Jindal, Republicans must "stop being the stupid party." A good first step is to stop treating people like morons.
