I don't care, there not my lungs you are ruining, so smoke up.

It doesn't matter what I think because I don't vote in all 50 states. It should be up to each state. It should NOT be a federal issue.

I don't really care, personally i don't need to be high or drunk to enjoy myself but to each their own. It would be very low on my priority list.

But did the British Lung Foundation conduct long term research comparing cigarette smokers with cannabis smokers to determine which group came down with the most cases of lung cancer?

Why no? Because it might hit too hard the high profit levels of the drug cartels? And surely the legal drug companies don't want to put up with the competition of people being allowed to grow their own medication.

The stoners don't believe these things because they are stoned and they are impaired.

I have seen the results of pot smoking and I can tell you, it does have an effect on your brain. I have seen kids so stoned out in school, they were like zombies. Really stupid. I saw members of my own family and close friends who lived to smoke pot, just like alcoholics lived for a drink.

Lets see how long this country lasts with most of the population is stoned. Just think, you can usually smell alcohol on someone or they slur their speech or stagger a little. A stoner is a little harder to spot but not much. The eyes, the blank, drugged out stare and the idiotic speech. Now we will have alcoholics and stoners out on the road, driving under the influence....

So maybe it's a positive effect on the brain then. I know doctors, lawyers, CEO's and many who have been smoking for decades. To them it's just a way to relax after a hard day at work. And most of the population smoke pot already.

I have to laugh everytime I see people associate pot smoking with success.

You are NOT grinding like some of is. Get the hell of your high horse. I doubt there's many on here that work harder than I do so its an insult to have lazy people try to talk about work ethic.

Mind your own business and carry your own load. I'm tired of carrying it WHILE being criticiced. Get the hell off.

Even if that were true (I have no idea either way), I'm guessing they are comparing EQUAL amounts of joints vs cigarettes. And what you seem to be missing is that very few people smoke more than 1-3 joints/day, or the equivalent through another method... the average cigarette smoker smokes between 15-30/day, so that's why the ACTUAL risks are much higher.

Besides, more and more people these days aren't even smoking their cannabis, in favor of edibles and vaporizers. I'd also like to see research on smoking from a glass pipe, my personal preferred method, which eliminates the paper factor. Other factors to consider are growing method and strain, as the organic products will be "cleaner" than one grown with chemicals. Here in California (at least for us legal users), we have our pick of organic flowers and medium with which to consume it - so you can definitely choose the healthiest route, if that's something of concern.
