I find it hard to believe these two fathers would be sticking needles in them to get high on the job risking their professional careers. I think there is more to this story than we are led to believe.

I don't find it hard to believe. Working on a cargo ship is as boring as it gets. Also, I don't see how anyone it going to force a needle into an arm of a Navy SEAL against their will, because they are experts in martial arts.
