It doesn't matter if anyone was injured or not. The fact is, this act was repugnant and it is nothing to joke about. Considering the crap James Meredith had to go through to get into Ole Miss, placing a noose around the neck of said statue is tantamount to a racial threat. Why else would someone place a noose around the neck of someone related to the Civil Rights movement?

Ole Miss had every right to kick the students out. It is their policy.

And then he decided to support David Duke, a former Klansman, for governor.

.
Oh good grief. Get over it and quit being so sensitive. This was just college hijinks at play, nothing more. Also this was a statue of a man who supported and campaigned for ex-grand wizard David Dukes bid for governor of Louisiana.

It is repugnant that anyone would try to justify the actions of those three students who did that noose stunt. It does not surprise me. By siding with those students who pulled that ugly stunt, or by writing it off as "a joke", all it is showing is that one is in agreement with what those students pulled. And if one is in agreement with that stunt, then it can be concluded that said persons have bigoted views.

That is not the point. The point is, that stunt was the equivalent of spraying a swastika on a synagogue or writing the N word on someone's car. That is basically what it is. You are not to tell me "stop being sensitive". I have the right to stand up and say "this is ugly behavior, those students deserve what's coming to them".

By the way, you still haven't answered any of MY questions that I asked you hours ago.

At all. No, seriously.
Of course not! The apologists, revisionists and other idiots all sidestep the core issue and call the flag a symbol of a would-be nation who fought for "state's rights". LMAO

I agree with this. There are fine people everywhere, in every state, who absolutely abhor racial discrimination against black people, and they are not always black. As always, a consistent effort must always be made by those who aren't racist to slap down those who are.

Glad to see these fools slapped down. No place in this society for bigots.

It is important to slap down bigotry of all kinds, period. There are decent people everywhere, and there are bad people everywhere. Those three students got what they deserved. To be an apologist for such behavior is to implicitly support it.
