No winner - mother Earth loses. Russia has over 8500 weapons of mass destruction and they are still targeting us.
They claim they are protecting their own citizens but there's probably more Russians living in America than in Crimea. They would be targeting their own too.
This is what I call diplomacy at work. Can't we just get along. What's with all the crazy talk about nuking each other. McCaine's ealier Gas station comment didn't help either. They need to understand that neither side will win this. The two sides just need to chill. If the people in Crimea want to join Russia then let em.

If this were to start, rest assured that we'd make sure the whole world was turned to radioactive ash 10 minutes after we were and after the dust settled, America would be the best radioactive ash-zone in the whole world. U.S.A.! U.S.A.!

Please don't pay attention to that bald guy, who like to say aggressive things.
It's his job. When he was younger and not so bald and fat, he hosted a show about Europe and his ideology was absolutely opposite.
It's called saber rattling, folks. Russia is no more interested in going to war against the US than they are in revisiting Afghanistan circa 1989. Mutually assured destruction is still a relevant phrase with the exception that the US tactical technologies are enormous in scale and quite effective in pre-emptively destroying others' nuclear capabilities on a conventional scale. The best case scenario for Russia is that it becomes a smoldeing pile of radioactive ash as well.
It's 9:24am and I have a feeling that this ^ will be the most stupid thing i will read all day....Sounds like Bush (or some other 'meat-head like him) is off his meds and typing on City-Data again....
Somebody give me a link to the State TV article and a accurate English to Russian translation program.
Here's the thing: Washington tried to pull a stinky and engineer a coup in Ukraine, installing Yats the banker as the new honcho. Anyone who has heard the Victoria Nuland tape knows this. And that's pretty much how it went, until Russia got involved in the Crimea.
What goes around comes around. How would Washington like it if, all of a sudden, millions of ethnic Mexicans residing in the US voted in a referendum to return parts of California and the Southwest to Mexico? It could happen, and sooner rather than later.
If I'm a Mexican government official with a taste for world power, this could be mighty tempting.
Washington died years ago and we have a new president called Obama. Seriously this is more EU versus Russian influence. Putin had a good hand and played it against a fractured and weak Europe as US looked eastward.
