This is a new one, and one I find difficult to accept on many grounds, including some that border on a suspicion we are in for more rather than less interference in public discourse--including on forums.

A new intelligence institution to be inaugurated soon by the Bush administration will allow government spying agencies to conduct broad surveillance and reconnaissance inside the United States for the first time.

I guess panic is setting in that the administration only has about 13 months remaining to totally usurp the Constitution.

I believe that Congress requested, and DHS complied with, a suspension of the proposed NAO domestic program to allow Congress more time for hearings into the details.

Hmmm. It's the proper link...straight from the Address bar. Try copying and pasting the URL into yours. Maybe c-d blocks AlterNet or AlterNet blocks c-d? Otherwise, it's dated Dec 6...
