I am 100% sure I am the first person on this board to read the entire bill from start to finish. It took 20 minutes, and it is just a load of crock.

First of all, the bill itself is discriminatory. It establishes federal grants for negotiation training programs for women only, and says nothing about negotiation programs for men. Yes, Democrats, some men are actually treated poorly by their employers, are low balled on salaries and could benefit from negotiation training programs.

Secondly, this bill and Democrats continue to vaguely emphasize equal pay for equal work which is WRONG. Do you not understand the factors that go into paying people? If a man and a woman are performing equal work, but the man has a masters degree, the man should make more based on his masters degree. PERIOD. If the woman has the masters, then she should make more. PERIOD.

This bill is nothing more than a government spending program under the guise of a sensationalist name.

It's meant to be wrong. It's pandering for the female vote by creating a system that would lead to endless litigation.

The devil is always in the details in these things. "The title sounds so good, how could anyone be against it?"

And then you read it and think about it and realize it's an election year stunt to make the other party look bad.

i dont need to read the bill to realize that it is a bad bill. you can tell just how bad a bill is by the way the side that is for the bill, pushes the bill. the first time they started to claim that it would equalize pay for men and women in the workplace, and close the "wage gap", i knew it was a rubbish bill. it sounds good on the surface, until you realize that we have had equal pay for equal work for a couple of decades in this country, and that the "wage gap" is due to things like men working overtime and women not. or men working and women taking time off to deal with family matters. or women working limited duty while pregnant, and taking maternity leave, up to six months depending on the person and the employer.

a lot of bills sound good on the surface, but when you get into the bills, they are rubbish because in the end they are fell good measures.

This law makes no sense. Women get paid the same as men and no laws are needed. The evil capitalists have taken care of this "problem".

The myth that women don't get paid as much means women are so stupid they will work for less. President Obama thinks women are stupid.

It's a "faux" problem that the government is running to "fix".

If only they viewed our spending and border issues with such zeal.

This is great as it shows the true sides of the Democrats. I really hope people start waking up to realize that the Democrats we have in house are not the Democrats they think they are, they are the true evil and creators of hate. Disgusting

That's because the rest of us looked at the name and realized that it was toilet paper. Sorry you wasted your time reading it.

The entire point is for the GOP to block it so the Democrats can scream "war on women."

The GOP actually shouldn't block it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not for the bill, but it's not worth it politically to block it.
