The US has a high statutory corporate tax rate. The effective corporate tax rate is quite competitive.

not really 90% of the big corporations pay no tax due to subsidies now the

small corporations are the ones facing the problem.

and stupid people keep wanting to increase corporate taxes.

NEWS FLASH it WONT HIT THE LARGE COMPANIES.
just small ones.

do this
repeal all the fees for starting business
and instead charge property taxes/sales tax.

DO NOT even think about worker income tax.

BUT FIRST
before repeal corporate tax

REPEAL WORKERS INCOME TAX.
the worst and stupidest tax of them all

then you can consider repealing corporate income tax otherwise corporations are people too and should be taxed the same way as regular people

ahem meaning it is 1 person right?
yes thats right

fine then.

their deductions go back to the same 1 person

oops suddenly their tax aint so hot.

better repeal the worker income tax first.

We should lower the high statutory corporate tax rate while at the same time close several of the large loopholes in place. It will solve multiple issues, lower the taxes on those few companies paying the full rate, while still keeping constant if not gaining in tax returns.

Raising the statutory rate does very little when we have such a bulky mess of a tax program that allows for a plethora of loopholes to be taken advantage of when you have the money to do it. All raising the rate does is hurt the companies that aren't taking advantage for one reason or another.
