What can be done? Hold up a sign that says you want them back. It will make you feel like your doing something, you're now involved and making a difference. It's good symbolism over real substance.

If people really cared, they'd contribute to a kickstarter campaign to fund a group of mercenaries to go in and get those girls back. Put your money where your mouth is people and do something.

Especially these girls: they sound like some smart young ladies who'd do very well in life tho IMHO they'd be better off here in the US or England than Nigeria after what you might've gone through.

I'm in! but I wonder wouldn't the mercenaries have to go through the IRS first. That might take years.

Yeah, so?

Despite the political and civil problems in Ireland, if an Irish American was being a cheerleader for US military occupation, resource extraction and destruction of local cultures in that nation, I'm sure the locals would give him more than a piece of their mind when the opportunity arises.

"When AFRICOM was first launched, headed up by Kip Ward, an African-American, we were told that AFRICOM would be primarily concerned with humanitarian issues—digging wells and training and providing support in disaster areas. But we quickly saw with the NATO onslaught in Libya that that was led by the Africa Command. And so we see that the guise of the U.S. militarization of the African continent under humanitarianism is nothing but that, a ['ʃɪbəlɪf], let's say.

What we are clear about and understand: that the driving push, you know, for AFRICOM is for the United States to protect its strategic and economic interests on the African continent, especially in the face of competition for access to natural resources that United States in particular and the West in general is getting from China's expansion on the African continent and the economic ties that the Chinese are establishing.

And we haven't seen any indication where the Chinese would look to go in and overturn a government or back a coup in order to protect its economic interests, which just to the contrary we see, whether it's with the United States, the European nations. They will certainly go in to try and change the political equation so that it works in their benefit."

And again, NOT IN SUPPORT OF ATTACKS ON CIVILIAN NON-COMBATANTS.

The United States has no good cards to play in this. A few months ago when Nigeria outlawed homosexual acts, the US strongly condemned Nigeria as a horrible human rights abuser and threatened to cut off all financial and military assistance. The US may have actually prompted the actions of Boko Harum. We have no moral authority and no legitimate voice in Nigeria.
