All I would like is for those opposed to carrying or possessing a firearm to NOT.

But to also allow me to choose if I want to.

What gun control seems to boil down to is some people wanting to force their views upon others whereas those opposed to gun control simply wan tto be able to choose.

Freedom frightens a lot of people,it seems they enjoy living in chains.

The exact reason I like those zones. Apparently this is part of the privatizing of personal security. Tax cuts do come with a price.

This is once again such oversimplified thinking, AGAIN based on NO FACTS other than what's in front of only my own nose. Without consideration of what happens when 'individuals' take this into their own hands. C-H-A-O-S.

There are multiple issues involved with today's "guns problem." (1) Differing registration laws from state to state (for instance, the South is more lenient than in the Northeast, so the guns flow from Virginia and south to the Northeast cities). (2) Guns are not being secured in people's homes, so their being stolen out of homes left and right. (3) The profiles of predictable perps with firearms are not being addressed effectively, especially mentally ill persons who have overtly threatened violence. (4) General permissiveness in the media culture about gun crimes and lawlessnes ("gun fantasies" in the movies, etc.). (5) The more general issue of illegal aliens means that there are MILLIONS of persons walking around in society who are legally unaccounted for, as are their firearms.

Ok, here's the deal: You don't want to carry or own or possess a firearm? Fine - I respect that.

At the same time, for those of us who do want to carry, or own or possess a firearm, you should respect our right to do so also.

Deal?

Those studies, of those towns where most homes have firearms, show the reduction in the crime rates -

It concurs with your statement above

As long as you know how to secure your firearms and this is reflected in your homeowner's policy. Cause I'll certainly sue you to Kingdom Come if your gun is used against me or my family.

Those gun free zones don't prevent the killing though, do they?

If you are threatening me, or my family, causing me to believe your intention is to harm us, please, sue -

Or, perhaps it will be your estate
