I did not say "who cares". But until China is willing to cooperate regarding polution nothing we as Americans can do will change the damage they are doing.

You need to catch up....The deniers "China" talking point is no longer valid. They are doing a hell of a lot more than the US or Canada. The political divide in the U.S. Congress has slowed efforts to pass climate legislation and is “very detrimental” to the fight against global warming,

China, the top emitter of greenhouse gases, is also the country that’s “doing it right” when it comes to addressing global warming, the United Nations’ chief climate official said.

The nation has some of the toughest energy-efficiency standards for buildings and transportation and its support for photovoltaic technology helped reduce solar-panel costs by 80 percent since 2008, Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, said yesterday in an interview at Bloomberg News headquarters in New York. Would you characterize the warnings of the weatherman about an approaching hurricane as using fear to sell flashlights and plywood?

Don't pass the ball, they are blaming you.

There's much we could do, like stop buying Chinese.

You do not speak for the people....Only the ignorant are not buying it....The fossil fuel companies know damned well the damage they are causing, but began and finance the denial movement out of sheer greed.

Well, we all know how that ended up but nowadays there are laws that ban Nazi speech while at the same time people --leaders, influential people-- deny Climate Change. Of course, it will lead to a Holocaust 1000 times worse than that caused by Hitler. The Holocaust will be slow and protracted, making future generations their victim.

Please protect Humanity from hate speech.

This is the last unfortunate event:

Marco Rubio: I Don't Believe Humans Are Causing Climate Change

And these are the facts:

Meanwhile, a National Climate Assessment has named Miami as the city most vulnerable to damage from rising sea levels. While a Southeast Florida Regional Climate Compact paper warned that water in the area could rise by as much as two feet by the year 2060.

We have all the evidence. Now you place your vote.
The responses to thread post is so indicative of option 1. The blatant ignorance.

But, that's okay. If it gets too hot, just roll up your windows and turn on the A.C. That'll solve the problem.

Floods, tornadoes, pollution, toxin, environmental cancer? We have a pill for that.

These are natural occurances. You know those coral reefs? Uh, they never existed.

It doesn't take a person with half a brain and below average IQ to figure out the man made toll on climate change. Yeah, I'm hatin' on all you ignorant folks who choose to deny the problem.

Total annihilation of the planet, and you call yourselves sane? LoL. Yeah-Uh Huh!

Amen!

They do some PR here and there to appear genuinely concerned for the environment.

Why would you do that when China is the country that is doing the most to stop climate change? China CO2 emissions are 6.2 tonnes per capita compared to 17.6 tonnes per capita in the US....The worst by far is Qatar at 40.3 tonnes per capita..(these figures are from 2010)

The "pill" cost $100 billion in New Orleans. Never mind, good for business, more jobs, more chance for relocation.

How much will the pill be for Miami Beach when a category 5 hurricane comes knocking at the door? Let's do like North Carolina did: ban climate change. No data of climate change allowed in planning.

It wasn't a specific proposal aimed at China but at the worst polluters.

Older documentaries I've seen reveal a lot of corruption and indifference to pollution, but they may have changed.
