Paleoconservatives want everything the way things were 100 million years ago.

They can't stand change unless it's change back to normal.

"If climate change turns out to be wrong, and we (as a society) had to endure some extra economic hardship isn't that worth it if climate change turns out to be a very real with disastrous consequences?"

READ IT AGAIN!
I guess you need further explanation. I'll break it down more simply.

Premise: We as society take "action" to attempt to prevent climate change.
Results:
1) Climate change is WRONG then the worst case scenario - Society possibly endures extra economic hardship for no reason.
2) Climate change is RIGHT then the worst case scenario - Society possibly avoids catastrophic environmental disaster.

Is that simple enough for you now?

FYI I read it already and that's why I know how many scientists are included in the 97%.

That's where 97.4% comes from.

This is the number cited in third-hand and twice removed drive-by studies like the one you used earlier.

Always a good idea to proof read what you wrote.

[quote=HyperionGap;34775374]I should not have included the "a". I'm sorry, typos happen.

It make no difference if some are "against" climate change...Being against it won't stop it.

1. What is on the horizon to "push the fossil fuel industry out of the market?"

2. Please name a couple of these financial giants.

I mean the only reason why I can imagine it is because the congressmen are simply bought by the Oil & Gas industry and honestly just don't care about what the evidence has to say.
I don't believe people are against climate change, Climate change has been happening since the beginning of time...and no one can stop it....

can you stop tornados, earth quakes, ice ages, meteors hitting earth, etc? No, and it is absolutely silly to think or believe that climate change is happening b/c of man? If it is going to happen, it's going to happen and nothing we can do will change that....yes, I believe global warming is happening...but weather works in cycles, and climate changes are inevidable....

why human beings "think" they can control everything is beyond me?
