Sadly people this is the same game plan that Hitler used against the jews and gypsies and others in Germany. the housing and the medical care and food supplies. based on what? FEAR MONGERING and hate ..

the racism still happens over gypsies of Eastern Europe .. and thats what this is .. racism.. what happens when they run out of illegals? who will be targeted next?
I understand why this happened its about making money off of the folks who need a place to live ... What makes you think that the fee's wont go up and that the targets of this type of discrimation won't change to another type of goverment approved profiling helped on by a vengeful neighbor?

Don't misunderstand .. I dont want illegals here either but if they are here and working and paying taxes let them rent .. they are helping all of us with their contrubutions to the pie we all enjoy.

Bet the "wise Latina" was pretty pissed off.
You know it.

I would also add seize the assets of the illegals to help offset the cost of their deportation.
Where do you draw the line with this line of reasoning?
Food, housing and medical care are all basic human needs.
So we deny basic human needs because you don't like where someone was born?

As uBB has pointed out the job issue will not be addressed because big business does not want to lose cheap labor.

Which big businesses target illegals for cheap labor? Which corporations?
Mine has had a policy of back ground checks, and proof of legal stays for 25 years.
The housing issue. Where do you draw the line? If it is a right should the fed house every illegal that claims they can't afford your rent? Should we be forced to open our doors to every vagrant that needs a place to stay? Safety and zoning codes already restrict housing. The fact that many illegals cluster in single family units because greedy landlords allow it is also a problem.

Nonsense. Objecting to illegal immigration and advocating not to make it easier for them to survive here such as renting to them is not based on fear, hate or racism. I get so sick of those stupid, unwarranted labels put on those of us for the rule of law. Oh sure, now we will just target people here legally. How desperate are the defenders of illegal aliens get?

They never pay in enough taxes to cover their social costs so no they are no bargain to us. They steal ID's to work and reduce wages for American workers. I suggest you educate yourself on this issue and learn the facts instead of thinking with emotionalism and being misinformed.

This is a terrible decision.

First of all, immigration enforcement is a federal responsibility, not a local one. Allowing cities to act as de facto immigration cops is a violation of the separation of powers.

Second, this ruling will create countless avenues for abuse on all sides. Landlords will not stop renting to illegal immigrants. They will simply threaten to report them to the city if they complain about health and safety violations. Conversely, disgruntled tenants will be able to falsely accuse landlords of renting to illegal immigrants to cause trouble for them. It will be a mess.

They can go back to their homelands where food and housing is available. We aren't the whole world's responsibility to provide the basic human needs for everyone. It is their own country's responsibility. As for medical care they already get that for free here at the taxpayer's expense. Where someone is born? WTH does that mean? This is about illegal aliens who have no right to be here not where someone is born. We have many legal immigrants and naturalized citizens that were born elsewhere but they are here legally. Learn to know the difference!

Every reputable study ever done has found that illegal immigrants contribute about $3 to the US economy for every $1 they take out it. I'm sorry, you are the one who is misinformed.

Like emergency medical care: I'm Ok with taking care of an illegal alien if they're on their way of being deported. The rest of them: too bad.

The feds haven't done their jobs of deterring or enforcing our immigration laws though. You're making a mountain out of a molehill with the rest of your post.
