Maybe for the elite and politicians, but not regular citizens.

One of the criteria used to determine happiness was employment. Unless one is deluded enough to believe the rosy unemployment numbers generated by this WH, many people are unhappy about being unemployed or underemployed in this economy. And things aren't likely to get better in the near term. Also, the majority of these countries have very small populations.

Interesting that Mexico is number 9. If people are so freekin' happy there...why are so many becoming criminals and breaking our laws by coming to this country illegally? Maybe we should round up the criminals and send them home-after all, it's all to make them happier.

They are happy because they come here making big money.. they make $2.00 an hour in Mexico and make $15-$20 here.. they go back and forth bringing their money back to Mexico and live good..

It is comparable to an American worker making $20 an hour and going to another country to make $$150 to $200 an hour in another country.. the illegals also have their women come here, have their babies and get free food ,housing and medical care. Now that is happiness to them.

Times are bad now economically and Obama just gives the people his political finger pointing speeches . I have yet to hear him bring the people together. Obama is no leader. He is the great divider. Obama has set the tone and it is not inspiring at all. It is a miserable message of all that is wrong and no positives or working together with this president. It is his way or the highway. His cabinet and his party follow him in his tone as well.
You have a short memory. Cries of "I hope he fails" began before Obama took office. It's Republicans and right-wingers who have divided the country. It's right-wingers who won't compromise.

Obama doesn't know the meaning of compromise. The Republicans were blamed when Bush compromised with the democrats . Barney Frank and Maxine Waters blocked the investigation of the mortgage industry testifying that all was well with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mack. Bush compromised with them and now the democrats have the nerve to blame him for what the democrats were responsible for-- the mortgage meltdown.

The democrats don't compromise. They are so far left they are now socialists and proud of it. The republicans have compromised and are now so moderate they are as the democratic party was in the past.

The new reborn Republican party are now the tea party which is the grass roots of 'By the People and For the People:" for small federal government, more power to the states and lowering the tax burden and keeping energy cheap, morality and family values and upholding the Constitution.

Obama calls the Constitution a flawed document.

The ones that are happy are the ones staying.
They are happy because all their poor and uneducated are leaving the country and coming to the US.

Wouldn't you be happy if all the poor were leaving your country ?

Paying a undocumented worker $20 per hour defeats the purpose of having a undocumented worker.

The Democrats are not even to the left of the conservative parties in most other first world nations... calling them socialist is ridiculous. Stop watching Fox News and read a book... even the wikipedia entries on political ideologies will do. And read them a few times to be sure you understand.
