As someone living in the south, rural whites get arrested for dog fighting just like inner city blacks. It does cross racial lines whether it happens in your backyard or not.
As I stated in my post, which you really didn't read and/or comprehend.
We watch violence as entertainment in many other outlets and have for a very long time (boxing, mma, gladiators).
I'm not a dog guy, don't get how people view dogs above humans, but I think its reasonable to outlaw dog fighting for many unsaid reasons.

So you believe that animal life is worth more than human life, that is an opinion. (And a sad one.) Anyone who partakes should be prosecuted and punished, sure... but murdered by lion? That is an extreme view.
As a libertarian who supports gun rights and ending the drug war, I do NOT support dog fighting and would have all people found practicing in this activity fined and/or imprisoned. I'm not really a huge fan of dog or horse racing either... making animals compete in that manner so people can gamble as to which one will 'win'
In general I support the humane treatment of animals, within reason. My mother does not like barn cats or dogs who go around killing everything around the acreage, but I have no problem with it, because they are genetically designed to do this stuff... the fact that the bird wasn't able to get away means that the birds that do get away spread their genetic advantage to their offspring.. this is the basics of evolution and survival of the fittest.
I suppose one could argue we are the top of the food chain ... however I like to hold humans to a higher 'moral' standard given the state of our ability to think, our society, and culture.
Police arrested 26 after a raid on a dog fighting ring. I am glad they arrested as many as they did although several got away. They had to carry one dog out on a stretcher (he was in the first fight of four scheduled).
Animal rights came before Womens rights. Dog fighting is wrong, and stupid. People think dogs are super tuff, but they are really soft, they just look like that, when they are showing their edge. The best ones breed dogs genetically so they are no longer, humane, at all. Anybody who does something like that deserves to be put inside of a ring with one of these breeds that is inhuman in itself. I would never do that do to any dog, including the genetically modified animals. If so I would be in an really really poor situation to do so.
A rooster, or rat is less sever then that, because your dealing vermin and food, that is expendable, even so it is a cruel thing. Again this is real life not Pokemon, where Giovoni sends his Moutain Lion out, after your genetically enhanced Wolf.
Leave all of that stuff to nations, where people can die at age 23 or 34, or the Drug dealers types who live fictionalized lifestyles.
If I was a cop, and the owner sent the dog after me, I would shoot the owner, and wrestle with the dog.
Dogs are scared animals, and is our best friends. Some dogs are better then most people. It makes me cry to see somebody would do such things. It is not cool at all. Bum fights is okay, but dog fight absolutely not, uncool, and not cool at all. You must love dogs, and respect them, they will respect you. I saw this stray dog, outside one time, I could have taken it home with me, but it was big, I hope it turned out okay. People should not be afraid of dogs.
