Would it also be very wrong to force him to make a wedding cake for a white woman getting married to a black man?
The key word you used in the sentence is... Force.
What part of the word Force, equals anything remote to Freedom, or Liberty?
Yes, in the name of freedom, it would be very wrong to force anyone to do anything they do not wish to do. Regardless if it is baking you a cake, or a doctor refusing to treat you.
Elsewhere in about 5-7 years will have to be out of the USA, because that will be the law everywhere in the USA by about 2020. There will be legal gay marriage in the entire country and non-discrimination laws. There are 20 states that have legalized it now. I do agree the "sensitivity training" requirement is silly, but it is not really difficult to comply with that. As long as they are serving all couples wishing to marry, that is the important thing IMO.
What I don't get here is, what is the purpose behind taking this guy to court VS just going to another bakery?
Some folks just live for controversy I guess.
But hey, nobody said he has to bake them a good cake......
i'm not religious. but apparently a large % of the world is so i assume they get along fine
it's only the gay-cake segment that seems to have problems
gay cakes are causing too much division
No....not at all.
Force.....one group of people trying to force others to serve them.
Where is Lincoln when you need him????
