If he identified as a woman and wanted to live like one this wouldn't be a problem but he doesn't. He's a "gender non-comforming teenager" which pretty much says it all IMO.
Sometimes we all have to conform to something.
Basically what it comes down to is that the DMV's view of what a man is supposed to look like isn't correct. So, their ideal of what "man" means is wrong, so, that's on them.
This is because facial recognition software can be tripped up by any changes in a person.
And yes, makeup is considered a disguise.
Hairstyle changes, glasses changes, etc. ....all that can trip up the software because it's still developing and evolving.
That is why people with glasses must remove their glasses (used to be if you needed glasses you had to be wearing them in your picture). No hair can be covering any part of the face (bangs must be pushed off your face).
These digital photos go to DC and are used by the CIA, FBI, etc. to keep America safe from terrorists.
This is what America wanted. They wanted the government to protect them.
Now stop crying about the loss of your liberties.
You just made this statement up. Facial recognition software does not recognize length of hair or makeup.
So your brother/sister/whatever, what was she originally born and identified as? And what does it live as now?
How was the post not clear? The poster's sister was born intersex. That means her (current) gender identity is women, and her biological birth sex is intersex.
Yes, In big letters across the front. Freak of Nature.
How dare you! That's a real human person you are talking about, do you know that? A sapient being with memories and a story and a whole life that you know absolutely nothing about, a person who had no say (like all the rest of us) in how they were created or what challenges they would face. And you have the audacity to say such a thing?
It's because of facial recognition software.
States all over the US had to comply with that part of the Real ID act.
No hair covering any part of your face, no glasses, no jewelry..nothing.
Last time I renewed I had to go in for a new photo..took them 3 tries to get the "perfect picture".
It has nothing to do with LGBT issues..it's Big Brother needing a perfect shot of your face.
move to a state that does not comply with the real ID act and then you do not have to worry about the feds having any info that they should not have in the 1st place.

The poster's sibling was born and identified in the delivery room as what? The only two choices are male and female. You people want to play with words and change reality and definitions to suit your current leanings.

No I didn't. I also posted further in the thread how facial recognition software does work.
These DMV folks have not been trained.
You have people who are non technical and probably haven't been given very good training.
The DMV lady that took my picture was fixated on my eyes directly looking into the camera and it took 3 tries before she was happy.
This is what happens when sophisticated complex software is implemented with p*ss poor technical training on it's use.
These DMV folks are probably given scant guidelines and then take matters into their own hands.
Just like those TSA agents and their "training" to detect the terrorist among us.
