No, he was elected under the premise that the grumpy old war-monger and the ditz were a far worse alternative, Mr. Smarm was no better. At this point Obama is more comparable to Reagan than Bush, both have some incredibly loyal followers considering their average at best performances as President as well as both enjoying remarkably durable Teflon coatings.
Realistically we've had nothing but political hacks elected as POTUS over the past 50 years.
Therefore, by blaming George W. Bush and resorting to "Bush did it, too!", then you have already lost the argument.
The following documentary shows how Fox news, republican CEO politicians, and corporate think tanks, manipulate US republicans as if they were retarded sheep.
Running an office staff and running the executive branch of the government are not comparable.
Saying that the measure of his success was whether or not he won elections is laughable. Nobody said he can't campaign. They say he can't govern. Governing and campaigning are not the same thing.
When your defense of Obama goes these ridiculous lengths, it's better to just not defend him at all. If you have to reach this much for an excuse for him, then you're basically just damning him with faint praise.
Oh, so America isn't a business but it is a Senate staff? Okay, sure thing.
Are you suggesting that being able to manage *people* effectively isn't experience useful in high gov't office?
America is far more a campaign -- with all that entails -- than it is a business. Businesses are supposed to make money for a select few, owners, shareholders. Senate offices are supposed to serve constituents, aka 'all of us'.
If you need a political solution, hire a politician...not some guy who has to learn how to do the nuts and bolts of politics while being President. That would have been Romney, which the nation rejected overwhelmingly.
republicans believe only CEO's should run government? got a link? I believe people who are eligible should be allowed to buy the office they seek. who are "the rich?" what is a "tax cut?" sounds made up. are you referring to a tax rate? sounds like I struck a chord when I dismantled you. I want prayer and liberty?
GW Bush was a CEO, Dick Cheney was a CEO, Donald Rumsfeld was a CEO, Mitt Romney was a CEO, ex.ex.
what about the retards who are part of left wing terrorist organizations like moveon, and are funded by billionaires like george soros?
Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, and George Soros fund left wing groups. But they are liberals, they want high min wages, healthcare for all, tax credits for poor workers, ex.ex.
Billionaires like the Koch brothers fund the right wing groups. They want corporate deregulation, CEO tax cuts, corporate tax cuts, low min wage laws (so they can pay workers less, and make more profits), to privatize Social Security to divert the SS money to Wall Street corporations, to abolish the EPA and FDA so they can no longer regulate and fine corporations, ex.ex.
Here's Buffet making a stand because his secretary has a higher tax rate than him,
(click blue words to watch the news story.)
Want to see how the republican billionaires corporate propaganda machine, made you care more about CEO tax cuts, than you care about your own family?
But you already know. Your against high min wages, against tax credits for poor workers, against healthcare for all. And you don't care if your family members make low wages, don't get tax credits, or don't have health insurance.
