Academic committees, religious institutions, and universities are increasingly divesting from Israel. Nice to see that people in this country are increasingly sick of Israel's hypocrisy, occupation, illegal detentions, and murder.

The Presbyterian Church is the latest institution to divest from Israel, part of a week of good decision making on their part (the other great decision being endorsing same-sex marriage the other day).

Israel-firsters and Zionism-lovers, you are on the losing side of history. Just like those who had to shamefully look their kids in the eye and tell them they stood by the apartheid regime in South Africa, you will have to one day shamefully look your kids in the eyes and tell them you stood by apartheid in Israel.

I don't know if I've ever met anyone who belongs to that church. I didn't know it was still around.

Evangelicals aren't even in the top ten -- which is strange because I've known a number of Evangelicals, but I don't think I've ever met a Presbyterian -- I'm not sure they even have any church where I live.

Where would that be? Seriously, not being sarcastic. Presby, USA and American, are very mainline denominations. I have a Presbyterian Church USA down the street from me which is gigantic, though not in comparison to the mega churches out in the suburbs. Presbyterian, Methodist, and Episcopal are big in my area.

In 1948 Israel became a nation.. prophecy was fulfilled. Israel will be attacked by the middle east and Russia . This is also prophecy that will come. World War III, then the great tribulation. Those that bless Israel will be blessed, those that curse Israel will be cursed. It is written.

This is why we send billions of our tax dollars to Israel every year, even though they don't need our aid. To fulfill a bronze age prophesy.

I hope many more organizations follow the Presbyterian church's lead.

AS a very committed Christian, all I have to say about this post is, "Complete nonsense".

Presbyterians are common in Pennsylvania (where 10% of them live), the south and California. Also, though this link doesn't mention it, upstate NY.
