The way some vote is criminal.

Come on, people... use some critical thinking skills before spouting off about "liberals" and such...

Claiming that we don't need laws because people break the law is just plain idiotic thinking. Based on that logic, why have any laws at all since one could easily go through weblinks and find examples of every law being violated, which clearly "proves" the laws don't work, so clearly we don't need them. Let's just have a free-for-all society where might makes right, so long as everyone has a gun and an urge to use it!

Here's the bigger question: how many deaths did the presence of gun laws prevent over the time frames in question? The problem is that there's no way to quantify that (aside from specific instances that might be noticed by dumb luck), but it is silly and groundless to assume that no such instances took place. Again, if we say "oh, you can't prove the laws prevented bad things from happening, so we don't need them," then we're right back to the loony notion of having no laws.

Look, I support the 2nd Amendment, and I've gone on record as saying that this nation should have mandatory gun safety training in schools and easier to access to proper defensive guns for personal use. But I will not side with gun-nuts who honestly feel there should be no gun laws, or extremists who try to paint the picture as black-and-white, "Oh, if you are in favor of some gun laws, than clearly you're in favor of taking guns away from everyone!"

That is simply grossly dishonest intellectually and as completely flawed as the "reasoning" displayed in the OP's post. Criminals will always violate laws. That doesn't mean a society should have no laws... geez...

All those shootings in two outrageously liberal states. The obvious solution is gun control. If the people of a state votes preponderantly "blue," take their guns. Clearly they can't be trusted!

Bull.

The overwhelming factor is poverty, followed up by population density. Many blacks happen to live in dense, poverty-stricken cities that have been gutted of their jobs.

Take the population from the lily-white trailer-trash counties in the Deep South whose only exports are meth and Cops videos and pile them into as small and dense an area as an inner city and they'd be killing each other at the same rate as the poor blacks in the inner cities.

Nothing quite like listening to people who honestly think that they and "their kind" are above "that kind of behavior."

So business as usual, then?

And who is currently gutting the inner cities of jobs and rapidly increasing population density with his open borders policies where the cheapest possible labor is allowed to pour on in and are now costing taxpayers billions of dollars and reproduce like mad?

Obama's open borders are not helping Americans in the inner cities -- not in the least.

Yes but blacks with jobs are pretty much like everyone else.

The problem is -- for all youth including the inner city youth, idleness is bad. Young males especially need to be doing something productive -- if they're not in college, they need to be working but Obama is a globalist and doing everything he can to pack this country full of cheap labor. Obama is doing nothing to bring jobs to the inner city. The options for these youth -- 1. jobs, 2. prison, 3. death. Jobs include the miliitary but Obama is slashing those opportunities also. Obama is eagerly getting jobs for his beloved DACA illegals but as far as Americans are concerned, he doesn't give a damn.
