Obviously the war on drugs has been a failure. Where there is great demand for something there will always be a supply.

How about redirecting the war on drugs to the "pharmaceutical" companies, doctors writing unneeded prescriptions and the politicians lobbying for this corruption.

Making up phony diseases and conditions and poisoning people all in the name of money. This is worse than than the original WOD in so many ways. America is becoming a poisoned nation of addicts. Disgusting.

War on drugs should be ended as well as any government regulation of substances. People can make their own choices.
And No new wars are needed, since every one that the fedguv wages is a miserable failure.

IMO, just forget the "War On Drugs", eliminate the DEA, and allow anybody to use anything.
If they want to put that garbage in their bodies, they are so stupid that they NEED to be removed from the gene pool, IMO.
ALL drugs should be treated just like booze; controlled and taxed!
NO, you can't have any if you are not an adult.
NO, you can't drive a vehicle while under the influence of any drug.
YES, your employer can demand a drug free workplace, and YES you can be fired for using drugs.
YES, you have every right to lay on the couch and shoot up or smoke yourself to death. Have fun.

I'd reduce the focus on drugs overall, but greatly increase it, and penalties on the 21st century scourge..meth.

1st offense should be lifetime loss of kids. get them into adoption, while they stand a chance.

For all illegal drugs to be legal and for it to work, there should be some widespread education on the subject, so people will know what they're doing when they mess with drugs.

My husband had surgery and the doc gave him a month worth of oxy. Really?? He won't take it and we have no idea how to dispose of it. These docs and their scripts are way out of control

Actually, the meds like Oxy that are given out are tracked. Your doctor, your pharmacist or your state likely already go out of their way to tell people how to dispose of meds.

Congress has the constitutional authority, and the moral responsibility, to protect its citizens from foreign products that cause Americans harm. As a result, I fully support the ban on illegal drugs and our border interdiction efforts, failure or not.

Having said that, I do not support the federal government involving itself in domestic drug interdiction. The DEA should be confined to our borders, and the States left to deal with illegal drug use within their jurisdiction as they see fit.
