I wonder if we sent some of Obeezy's "sons" over there, would the stats stay the same?

Iceland is a very successful progressive country.

What progressives see: "See, we were right. If we get these policies in place we can be a success too."

What conservatives see: "BUT THEY DON'T HAVE BLACKS THERE."

You people are all disgusting, I can't believe I keep coming to this site.

Strong generalizations because of comments by one fool never make a good point.

It helps that it is a European island. Also, doesn't it have a U.S. airbase?
Great horses, those Icelandic ponies.

Classic case of reading what you want into something and disregarding the obvious elephant in the room.

god bless america
You should have been interviewed for the movie out now entitled "America". You sound like one the liberal/progressives that were given free rein to spew their toxic dislike/hate of America.

Special note: Funny how you chose not to capitalize either God or America, yet you capitalized the Bible

We have friendly neighbors as well. Heck, even Alaska isn't threatened with Russia, that can be seen outside some folks homes believe it or not.

Iceland isn't a melting pot though. They don't have the inner-city crime we deal with. Have you read how many shootings were over this past holiday weekend in Chicago alone? Iceland doesn't have that issue. They probably have much better foreign policies than we do, but we love spending our kid's future on our wars.

Not having a standing army is a luxury that America and most nations can't afford. Iceland can get away with as long as they have wealthy benefactors but for most nations it simply isn't feasible to do so. Human nature is what it has always been, people will always seek more power and prey upon the weaknesses of others to obtain it. Go tell nations in Eastern Europe now that they shouldn't worry about having any armed forces because their allies will protect them.

Iceland is fortunate to be in an isolated setting, almost entirely culturally homogeneous. If Iceland was a U.S. city, it wouldn't even rank in the top 50 by population. In Iceland, the population density is about 7 people per square mile, compared to the U.S. at 80 and the U.K. at 640. Any attempt to portray their successes and failures with broad generalizations is bound to fail.

Please stop trying to make this a partisan issue, and Iceland is a progressive nation, healthcare Nordic style, social issues like gay rights, etc. It is not a republican style bastion.
