Because governing was too much hard work. And she was stuck all the way up in Alaska, far away from her adoring fans and their $$$$. All that tedious work of governing put a damper on her ability to grift, so she shucked her responsibilities and walked away.

If she couldn't hack being governor of a state that has less population than many major U.S. cities, how the hell did she ever think she could hack being vice president, or--God forbid--president? This is why she'll never run for public office again. Who would trust her to actually stick around and do the job?

Oh please, that is exactly why she left. After she ran for VP, she had an opportunity to go on speaking tours, make more $$ for herself and raise $$ for other candidates. No longer being Governor gave her more of an apportunity in order to do that, so she decided to resign.

Reality tv was beckoning. She wanted to follow in Snooki's footsteps.

The point appears to have gone over your head. Sandra Fluke didn't want somebody else to pay for anything - she wanted the insurance that she and her friends were paying for to cover hormonal birth control. This was in no little part because birth control pills aren't just used for birth control, but to treat actual maladies of the female variety. The policy left people paying for insurance having real, medical conditions uncovered, because staunch defenders of morality apparently knew jack sh.t about lady bits.

That was the problem. How the Perpetually Offended Right got in their heads that she wanted to be a sl.t on the tax-payer's dime, or whatever point they felt they had - that's anybody's guess.

So true, lol. When she's made fun of though, I don't see a swarm of people rushing in to defend her. They know she's part idiot and don't care.

I did not call her a derogatory name. I merely pointed out that she and her friends at Georgetown; who after graduating will make more money than most people; feel as though someone must cover their birth control pills that are prescribed for WHATEVER reason, and are shall we say, less than cognizant of the peasants below them who paid their own way.

Gotcha.
Sarah Palin left the governor's office not because she became an ambassador or Senator , but simply because she wanted to leave.

Do you want a person like that in the Oval office ?
