True of many problems in our nation (pretty much the point of the post that you were responding to).

Immigration
Healthcare
Other infrastructure (roads, bridges, airports)
Education

No matter what philosophy people believe in to maximize these things, they absolutely ARE critical parts of an infrastructure that supports economic growth.

In all cases, I don't think anyone can point to a political party that is doing something good for 'we the people', all they can do is tell who is screwing up worse. Which is exactly what 'they the politicians' want you to do.

Distractions. Nothing more than distractions from the painfully obvious fact that nothing is getting done.

And there are a great number of illegals who benefit from our entitlement programs even though they're not even citizens.

These are massive expenses for people who contribute very minimal taxes. They get far more back than they put in. Illegal immigrants pay about $12 billion in various taxes, but cost the nation over $100 billion, so we're paying about $90 billion a year to support people who are breaking our laws.
We educate millions more legals children which require more teachers, more school, etc. We jail too many people for non-violent crimes and petty crimes that shouldn't come with jail time. Illegals aren't the reason why infrastructure needs to be expanded, that is just a lame excuse. The illegals that benefit from entitlement programs are at a state level, that is a state's right to make that decision.

I am curious where your numbers come from because they seems to be very specific, yet I have a feeling they are very inaccurate.

If these kids came from Cuba we would be embracing them. But because they come from Central American they are considered undesirable. In fact, they are children who come here to save their lives-not because they disagree politically with the regime that is running their native country.
