Alot of people didn't want to see a Black man become President of the USA anyway, so it really doesn't matter. Call me cynical, but it is what it is.
As much as you didn't like him, I really do not believe anyone else would have done a good job. So many people are out for self. Everything is "either you're with me or against me". That is what it is these days.
Yeah its all about skin color, not lack of experience or has values and views which are harmful to this nation.
People moving up the economic scale move up the economic scale in all ways: clothes, houses, food, etc. That has absolutely nothing at all to do with race, religion, or culture.
In this case, it does. Younger and more educated Blacks are fleeing blue states, and deliberately choosing to move to red states for better opportunities. Read the article:
The mental block that keeps the GOP from engaging black folks and others could have something to do with its perception of the issues we care about.
For instance, a prominent black Republican in Illinois told me about a presentation a few years ago with party elders about how they could attract black voters. When it was all done, this Republican said, the first comment from the floor was, "We are not going to support welfare."
The group of black Republicans was puzzled: "We didn't even bring up welfare. What are you talking about?"
The GOP apparently has the idea that minorities don't care about education, taxes, entrepreneurship, homeownership, and a litany of other issues.
It is the mentality and making fallacious assumptions, such as what you have made, that makes many Blacks not want to vote for Republicans. Why vote for a party who assumes that all you want is free stuff?
While voting in block may prevent blacks from making progress on specific issues it does help ensure the progression of the welfare state which blacks generally support.
Prove it. Back your statement up. And don't show me some stupid videos from WorldStarHipHop. Those videos represent the lowest common denominator of the Black population. Show me where regular Black people, the non-underclass types, only want free stuff. Show me in empirical, statistical evidence that the vast majority of Blacks only want free stuff. Why would middle class Black people want free stuff when they can get it themselves? Unless you make another fallacious assumption that there are no middle class Black people.
If you are going to make a fallacious statement, such as what you have made, back it up. If you cannot, then all it shows dishonesty and cowardice.

It's a demographic fact. Not sure why you're having trouble accepting that.
Your entire article is basically about people moving to Atlanta which already had the second highest percentage of African Americans as a share of the population to begin with.
The example in your article actually says...
Quote:
. Her choice was as much about cultural affinity as it was job opportunities.
“The business and political opportunities are here,” she said. “You have a lot of African-Americans with a lot of influence, and they’re in my immediate networks.”
and further more

Northern blacks were a big part of Southern gains. There are now more than one million black residents of the South who were born in the Northeast, a tenfold increase since 1970.
You are talking about only 1 million people over a 40 year period(100,000 of that havign already lived in the south). That means 22,500 black people move to the south each year, that isnt as much as you have tired to make it seem, As if it was some mass migration.
Net Migration says people in general are moving all over the place.
While voting in block may prevent blacks from making progress on specific issues it does help ensure the progression of the welfare state which blacks generally support.
Most Blacks don't even use welfare. Again, if all anyone does is reduce Blacks to the issue of welfare, of course Blacks aren't going to vote for that party. Why vote for someone who is going to assume all you want is welfare?

No, it isn't. Atlanta was just given as an example.
Quote:
"The share of black population growth that has occurred in the South over the past decade — the highest since 1910, before the Great Migration of blacks to the North — has upended some long-held assumptions...
"This is the decade of black flight," said Mr. Frey. "It’s a new age for African-Americans. It’s long overdue, but it seems to be happening."
"...younger and more educated black residents move out of declining cities in the Northeast and Midwest in search of better opportunities.
...Increasingly blacks are moving to places with small black populations. Just 2 percent of the black population growth in the last decade occurred in counties that have traditionally been black population centers, while 20 percent has occurred in counties where only a tiny fraction of the population had been black."
It's a demographic fact. Younger and more educated Blacks are fleeing blue states, deliberately choosing to move to red states in search of "better opportunities," and are even deliberately choosing to move to places where only a tiny fraction of the population is Black.
