It was interesting to read a thread posted by a liberal who suggested that republicans recieve more federal aid than democrats, given that many "red states" recieve more tax dollars than they send to Washington. This is for a variety of reasons, including farm subsidies, maintenance of dams, locks, and ports, national parks, and military facilities.

However, THE MAJORITY OF WELFARE RECIPIENTS ARE DEMOCRATS.

Super-Economy: Are Welfare Recipients mostly Republican?

Is it any wonder that the dems keep handing out "treats" for votes, thus bankrupting the nation?

One would think that someone that was going to prove a point would know the difference between States recieving federal aid and an Individual recieving federal aid. Bad news, you obviously do not and the thread is an utter failure

When all the subsidies and bailout are all figured in, not to mention the big fat government contracts....it ain't even close. The Republicans win by 100 miles.

Yep, pay no attention to the $16 Trillion issued in Corporate Bailouts by The Federal Reserve.

Go after "Democrats" on welfare getting a measly $205 per Month LOL

Nice attempt at a Romney, but that "survey" the article talks about does not in any way indicate that DEMOCRATS receive more welfare than REPUBLICANS. It does show that more people who consider themselves MODERATE took the survey, and that most people have a LIBERAL breakdown by a small margin. However as in the time when the last survey was factored in, in 2007 was that George Bush had a horrible rating and that most people were going to vote for DEMOCRAT's.

Par for the course for right wingers and RWNJ's.

How do you figure? The richest people in the U.S. are democrats, 7 of the 10 richest congress people are democrats, and the companies that were bailed out, either lean democrat, or are so heavily democrat that they have funneled money into the democratic party at a level that amazing.

The welfare just lost chance. The problem is not just democrats or republicans, it is both.

We cannot save this country on self destruction unless we fix the entitlement system.

It was Obama who issued these bailouts. When you multiply $205 a month (and in many families the dollars are much higher) x millions it equals a lot of tax subsidies. Nice try, but no cigar.
