Does "Shut up and sing" apply also to Ted Nugent and other conservative performers or is it only liberal performers that aren't supposed to voice their opinions

Political Thunder: Ted Nugent to Obama: "suck on my machine gun!"

All of them.Years ago I went to see Duran Duran and Simon LeBon the lead singer started saying all Republicans are racists and how Bush should be arrested for treason. Yes the same moron who makes fun of fans, and makes fun of many people (who should look in the mirror himself). He also makes horribly anti American comments on Twitter as well.

The conclusion? Rock singers are idiots.

Nugent was a guest on Huckabee's show a few years ago. Huckabee, a bass player, joined Nugent for a rendition of Cat Scratch Fever. I laughed my ass off as I watched a Christian preacher in accompaniment to "I got it from the p ussy next door."

I agree with the 'all of them' sentiment. Having Ted Nugent on my side is kind of embarrassing.

I think the dems should be embarrassed of who they have also, which is pretty much the rest of the empty headed Hollywood drones.

Some of these rock stars have narcissistic personality disorder and want to preach their worldview to the masses, Bono of U2 comes to mind.

Most in the "entertainment" industry seem to think that their opinion somehow matters more than the average person, and it doesn't. Hollywood is littered with idiots like that, and so is the music business.

Entertainers have as much right to free speech as anyone else.

I may or may not agree with them, but I would never tell them to shut up.

As someone with conservative leanings, I really wish he would! He's a nut ball.

Well, I don't really want to hear my elected representatives sing...

Likewise I prefer entertainers to keep their politics to themselves.
