much ado about nothing, same group tried chris christie for perceived political revenge...holder even assigned a gunslinger usag. Tdoj is apolitical arm of the obama administration and will go after all viable 2016 candidates. By viable means any candidate that can raise issues dems prefer to not discuss.

Nothing has changed. I extremely unlikely request was denied. There may or may not be something here, and a court will sort it out.

I suggest you review the previous posts that contain irrefutable facts and links to those facts. It is obvious you have actually no knowledge of the process involved in the Perry indictment.
Everything you just posted concerning Perry is false, on it's face.

GOP lawmakers vote to transfer public integrity unit to Texas Rangers; Democrats criticize move

State lawmakers on Saturday approved and sent to the governor a bill that would transfer public corruption cases against state officials and employees from Travis County prosecutors to the Texas Rangers.

The measure, supported by Republicans and opposed by Democrats, was spurred in part by last year’s indictment of Gov. Rick Perry and other past investigations of high-profile Republicans – though several Democrats also have been targeted by the Public Integrity Unit of the Travis County District Attorney’s Office.

Under the legislation approved by the GOP majorities in the House and Senate, investigations and prosecutions of crimes related to state government would be conducted with a two-step process. Investigations would be conducted by a new Public Integrity Unit in the Texas Rangers and prosecutions would be handled by the district attorney in the hometown of the accused.
Clearly this was a good move by the Texas Legislature, and now all prosecutions will be instigated by a special unit of the Texas Rangers and the prosecutions will be conducted by the local county prosecutor in the hometown of the accused, which for Rick Perry is Paint Creek, Texas.

So the Democrats will no longer be in a position to instigate the sort of outrageous partisan witch hunts, that we have seen with Tom Delay (exonerated) and currently with Rick Perry (likely to be exonerated soon).

It is not clear what happens with the current case against Perry, with the Travis County DA no longer having authority to instigate or oversee these matters. Ideally, the state of Texas will drop the charges, freeing Rick to pursue his presidential ambitions.

Of course, you folks will also continue the argument that this is another manifestation of democratic partisan politics in Austin. That claim is as misleading as Perry's veto rhetoric. There wasn't a single Democrat involved in the investigation and indictment. In fact, Perry appointed the presiding judge in the case, Billy Ray Stubblefield of the 3rd Judicial District. Stubblefield named retired Judge Bert Richardson of Bexar County (San Antonio) to handle the grand jury investigation, and Richardson picked Mike McCrum to be the special prosecutor in the case. McCrum, who withdrew his name from consideration for U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas, had the support of the two Republican Texas U.S. Senators and the state's Democratic officeholders, which hardly makes him a Democratic Party hack.

No matter how many times the actual facts are brought to your attention, you guys will continue to claim the Perry Indictment is a Partisan democratic effort. When in reality, it's nothing of the sort.

Default Presdient Perry

Democrats just trying to destroy any political opponent . If Perry thought he was wrong of broke any law do you think he would actually run for Postal Carrier, never mind President.

This whole case is how Texas Politics works and there is a certain level of behind pressure in every state of the Union.. So don't Mess with Texas!
