It isn't needed. We have way too many people in this world as it is. If birth rates go down alarmingly in a certain country then immigration might be the answer but far too many that want to immigrate somewhere else are the uneducated, unskilled and poor. I don't think they benefit any country except for greedy business owners that want cheap labor.

Also some groups of immigrants aren't compatible with the native population in regards to wanting to assimilate to the country's culture and language and way of life.
