Much has recently been made of the move by The Pentagon to supply local police forces around the country with military equipment. The nature of the operations that this equipment can support - full-on, military tactical operations - is clearly far, FAR beyond what has historically been thought of as the role local police.
It appears that many people strongly support this program. And it seems that it is most strongly supported in the most conservative regions of the country. I'm surprised that those same supporters of the program haven't commented on what lies behind it, which I think is this: The true purpose is to hide military equipment and materiel in plain sight - basically a forward-staging program - where it can be easily accessed by government forces for the expected civil unrest just over the horizon. I'm also surprised that the individual-rights crowd isn't terrified of this. Anybody have any thoughts?
They have to since our laws prevent the actual military walking the streets to maintain law and order like in other central American countries. It seems that's the way we're headed.
People have been claiming the gubberment (intentional) is just about to round people up and take them away to FEMA camps with their black helicopters for decades now. Everything from the wacky to bizarre (fillings, bar codes, Obamacare, Amtrak report facilities, DIA) have been used as justifications that have all never come true. After nearly half a century of these claims based on outlandish hyperbole the only people who have kept going at it are loony surivivalist militia nuts.
The only consistent thing is that the people who believe it are mostly depressed and afraid. It doesn't help that they can point to real events that they are terrified of. When the next steps they are sure will happen never actually do, many tend to go down the rabbit hole trying to justify their belief is right and the world is wrong.
The terrible thing is how many continue and destroy their own lives in a delusional fashion out of fear. The best thing is to take a step back and find some help. Explain what's going on internally and work it out.

The Police State, was created under the pretense of safety. What it has done is stripped our freedom and it is violently harming us at every turn and nothing for our safety, only the rich and powerful rulers security.
