I think it is Hype actually. ISIS will not come here. I suspect some military folks want to sell more bombs and inprove their bottom line.

The money for Afghanistan is drying up, so there has to be a new conflict to keep the money going to the right pockets.

You'll fight them there or .. you will fight them here!

WASHINGTON -- Before Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi became what many consider the world's most powerful terrorist, he was in U.S. custody.

U.S. forces released Baghdadi from an Iraqi prison in 2009 after four years in captivity. His reported parting words to American troops? "I'll see you guys in New York."

Baghdadi now leads a terrorist army of some 10,000 jihadists, known variously as ISIS or the Islamic State, that has conquered vast amounts of territory in Iraq and Syria.

And his repeated threats to attack America have not gone unnoticed.

"You will have a hard time finding any senior U.S. counterterrorism or intelligence official who won't say right now that the Islamic State, or ISIS, is the biggest threat that we're facing at the moment," said Matthew Levitt, director of the counterterrorism program at the Washington Institute.

You mean withdrawal from Afghanistan is coming up and the US needs another "war". But this "war" will be different because the enemy is unseen as it is an ideology, Islamist extremism, that is being instilled from generation to generation. Killing people who follow that ideology will not stop the growth and spreading it. It's like trying to kill Christianity, Judaism or any other religion.

Imagine that. Invade someone's land, arrest them and bring them to another country, hold them in prison for 4 years, never charge them with anything, never give them a chance to defend themselves in court and when you do release them they are pissed.

The people who profit from war don't care if a war is winnable or not.

Why wouldn't they? They would love to have an attack on US soil. They would become the premier terrorist organization and grow in power and money. They are already funded, have people with US and European passports, an open southern border etc.
