Bush: "I will rely on General Petraeus to give me his recommendations for the appropriate troop levels in Iraq. I will discuss the recommendation with the secretary of defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. I will continue consultations with members of the United States Congress from both sides of the aisle. And then I'll make a decision.
I know some in Washington would like us to start leaving Iraq now. To begin withdrawing before our commanders tell us we're ready would be dangerous for Iraq, for the region and for the United States. It would mean surrendering the future of Iraq to Al Qaida."
Obama - In 2010, Obama did precisely what Bush warned against and withdrew all U.S. forces from Iraq — overruling his commander on the ground, Gen. Lloyd J. Austin III, who had recommended that Obama keep 24,000 troops.
Bush listened to boots on the ground.
Obama overruled the boots on the ground and did what he wanted. Either he wanted the chaos or he is clueless in foreign policy. Either way the result is disastrous for many in Iraq.

Dubya stupidly got talked into a failed war in Iraq by his veep, then left it unresolved and the only outcome would be failure no matter how many troops were left for any amount of time.
Maybe if he and Chicken Dick Cheney hadn't squirmed out of service in Vietnam, they might have learned the lesson about engaging in land wars in Asia.
What the hell are you guys drinking? Bush set the pull-out deadline himself.
Did you read my last paragraph? Obama did not listen to the experts.

Yes - we know you were a fly on the wall and heard everything.

Exactly, yet they keep repeating these lines from 2007, like the pull out of Iraq in Dec 2013
was never signed by Bush JR. himself in the U.S.–Iraq Status of Forces Agreement in 2008.
Sure, Repubs would have liked to have a small force remain in Iraq, but with our soldiers
not given Iraq law immunity it was not possible. Could you imagine if ISIS was beheading
soldiers instead of two journalists....
Let's face it. The war on terrorists is never ending, like organized crime. That's why it should
be done covertly with special ops, and should have been done so in the beginning.
No war/troops in the first place.
