Just as effectively as the 13 year old war on terror has wiped out terrorism.

Worse, at some point we end up with dead Americans, all to try to make things better for the people of the ME. It's not worth it.

Now I'm hurt. I'm a conservative.

It's impossible. The Saudis are backing ISIS (AL Qaeda et al) to overthrow Shia regimes. If we actually go after ISIS we are in effect taking the Shia side which includes Iran, Assad, and Hesbollah.

Take out their armor and heavy weapons and the Pesh Murga (and hopefully the Iraqi Army...) can handle them.

No, I doubt it is possible to "destroy" ISIS any more than it is possible to "defeat" terrorism. You can degrade it, keep killing their leaders, and try to delegitimise it and it's tactics. In the e d though it is like try to win a "war on crime." It is impossible to ever end it forever.

Back when I was working with the Peshmerga I found they had a good will to fight, a strong "warrior" tradition, and they were far more moderate than other middle eastern ethnic groups. That said their training was of the backyard "my grandfather told me" sort while there weapons and equipment were not great. That was in 2004 so maybe the training and equipment t has gotten better now.

Only with boots on the ground, otherwise we are only going to arm them.

They are the only people I would trust over there. They have a strong will to be free, or die... like us. Also they love the west, which we should take advantage of with our loyalties.

That they have had a homeland in areas claimed by Iran, Turkey and Iraq and countless other powers since the time of Saladin is plenty proof of their will and ability to fight. If only the ME had more Barzanis.

But for some reason we sure do have the power to create them!!!!

Is there a due date for the return of Christ so that I can mark it on my calendar??
