Should Congress pass the Border Security bill given the ISIS threat? If I am not mistaken the Senate passed the bill 15 months ago, so this question is about the House vote.
Hmmmm, one in favor of border security, and one against.
Interesting that none of our Cons have jumped in yet it seems several people have voted. Must be that tidbit about it sitting in the House awaiting a vote for over a year.

Well, they said they would not touch the Border Security / Immigration Bill until next year, but given their firm anti ISIS stance, I thought they might want to consider expediting the process. Isn't there a possibility that ISIS jihadists can cross the border and hit US?

The probability is they'd rather sit on their collective duff and blame Obama.

Without politicizing it, the possibility cetainly exists and one border sheriff thinks it's already been(ing) done:
As to the subject at hand, no bill should be passed unless it will REALLY secure the borders and the Border Patrol should be sent back to the border and not stay where they were moved 30 miles away from it.

You would think so wouldn't you. Yet that is not what is happening, instead of working on the Bill and sending it back to the Senate they are busy whining about how we have no border security and we are going to be attacked any second now. It is amazing anyone takes them serious on anything at this point but people are often uninformed and only follow along with what they are told is the truth. Is it any wonder this Nation is a such a mess.

Do you even know what is in the Bill. me thinks Not.
Congress absolutely should pass "a" border security bill, but I'm not sure "which" bill the OP is referring to. If there were a clean bill that mandated enforcement, security, a streamlined deportation process (one which kept violators in custody until their hearing and didn't put them back on the streets, and made criminal immigration a felony, yes, they should. If "border security" is coupled with amnesty for criminal acts, no.

My response was general, not specifically aimed at the bill which I have not read and likely won't. Those days are over for me after having read literally thousands. However, like most federal legislation I imagine it's filled with other things and not a good bill overall. In the interest of security it should be short, simple and without ambiguity. A pipe dream if ever there was one.
I doubt you've read all 844 pages either.
