I'm old enough to remember the years 2008 - 2012 when ordinary Americans discussed the status of our economy. We waited eagerly for the Bureau of Labor Statistics to release the unemployment rate around the first Friday of the month. Cable news pundits would tell us how the latest jobs numbers would benefit Mitt Romney or the President. Economists would explain how the ADP report was either good or bad news. If manufacturing or construction was up or down, we heard about it from the beltway and corporate media.

Do you remember when we discussed the economy?

After doing some research, the following issues are more important than discussing jobs.

ISIS
iPhone 6
Ebola
Saluting Etiquette
Shooting Black People
NFL Public Relations
Chuck Todd

I discuss the economy every day - rarely here.
Not much need mixing financials with the partisan bickering throughout CD.

I get that, but why don't we hear much from the media anymore regarding the economy? It seems like they stopped covering it aggressively after the last Presidential election.

Yea Imagine how much we'd freak out if the National debt was nearly 18 Trillion instead of 8 Trillion like it was back then.

Oh $h!#!!!!!

That is a forgone conclusion.

Therefore flogging that dead horse does nothing.
