Maybe not the best move from the standpoint of public relations (and Starbucks did apologize), but fact is that it's still private property, and 'pregnant' or no, no one is "entitled" to use their facilities anymore than someone off the street can knock on your door and demand to use the bathroom in your home.
And anyone who deals with the public, whether landlords, restaurants, law enforcement, whatever… knows all too well how there's always gonna be a few who will aggressively try to get around the "rules" (which this employee was simply enforcing as part of his job).

All the star bucks i have ever gone to( a total of 3) all had bathrooms in the public area. So its not like it would have inconvenienced them to let her go.
And if the rule was to buy something, she was willing to do, so i dont see your point.
Starbucks didn't deny the her use of the restroom. It was just one of their incompetent employees at one of their locations. Stupid people unfortunately work everywhere.

And other stupid people will act as if one employee represenst an entire company and use it as an excuse to vent once again.
Starbucks could offer double foam cyanide macchiatos to babies and liberals would defend them to the end...
Just a tiny ounce of consistency would almost make liberals tolerable, which is more than I could ever say about Starbucks Pike roast; battery acid has more flavor than Pike.
I'm surprised by this. Normally there are so many people at a Starbucks that no one would even notice someone walking in to use the bathroom & then just leaving. I do this at gas stations all the time when I'm on the road. I admit, I do feel a bit guilty just using their bathroom & not buying anything but so far, no one has said anything.
