I thought that video of the parents, with the mother wearing a veil, was one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen. Do they really think that ISIS cares that this guy converted to Islam, or that the mother is wearing a veil?
You know what - if one of my loved ones was kidnapped by ISIS, I don't think I'd make a video pleading for their life. I don't think I'd humor the terrorists in that manner.

Some how people seem to forget these people hold religious values above their culture. They have lived their whole lives under Saddam and other dictators they have no why of fighting back the GENERALS of Saddam!

And I'll take that one step further - I don't think we should send one more piece of equipment over there to arm one of their armies. We've seen how well that works out.

Agreed. There is no upside to sending them more troops, weapons, money, etc. If there was some scenario where we had a favorable outcome MAYBE I'd get on board, but there isn't. Send ground troops temporarily & we lose. Station troops there permanently like Hillary wants to do & we lose. Bomb them indefinitely & we lose. Create a proxy war & we lose. The only scenario where we don't lose is coming home & cutting the cord.
